A portrait of my little ones, once a week, every week in 2014, see more here.

U: every free moment you have is spent drawing. you have been making up funny, interesting jokes. you have been interested in vampires and ninjas, but animals are always your number one fave. one day after school I looked in the rearview mirror to back up the car, and there was an incredible vampire staring right back at me! You had held the drawing you had made at school that day up in the rearview mirror, it was too funny. You are still very into the ocean, particularly deep sea life. I got to go with your class to recess this week and holding you hand on the walk was a real treat. I love getting to be with you at school and play with all your friends.

S: you love reading right now. you sit with a stack of books and flip through the pages and read each one. the stories you make up are very cute and funny. you imitate your brother a lot and lately you ask me how to spell things like your brother does-  you often ask "how to spell e, bear, ten, three?"- i don't know where that comes from. the other day at the bookstore a littler baby came up to you over and over with books and was trying to communicate with you. after a while you looked at the baby and said "i busy doing something" and then you looked right at her and said "i a vampire". i love all the strange things you pick up from having an older brother!

  1. What lovely photos and beautiful words. My youngest often imitates her elder sister, it's so lovely to watch and their relationship so precious! x

    1. Thank you. Yes, it was an unexpected joy in having a second child- all the sweet and funny things they pick up at a young age from their older siblings!
