A portrait of my little ones, once a week, every week in 2016.

Family skateboarding at the park near our house. All four of us skating and going down the big hills. A sunny day in winter is certainly a reason to spend the whole day outside playing.

An unexpected snow day. My son ran into our room first thing in the morning exclaiming that it had snowed overnight! It was so exciting. We built tiny snow people in the yard, and caught snowflakes on our tongues. Collected many icicles. We waited for the snow to stick and pile up and then headed to the park to go sledding. We ran into friends and had so much fun going down the big hill, over and over. Snowy walks on the sled to fetch groceries for supper. The next day our whole family (all four of us!) piled on the sled and went down the huge hill to get more groceries. It was very hilarious.

Playing on Whidbey island, sand and beach forts. Ferry rides and cob houses. Wood stoves and candles, big pots of food and old friends. Staying in a cob house, piled in a little room together. Searching for yeti in the woods, making figures out of clay. A wonderful winter weekend trip up north.

I stopped the 52 project in the summer last year (after completing the whole year in 2014), but I love the incentive it gives me to get my camera out weekly and document my children's growth. So here it goes for 2016, hoping to finish the year this time!
